CRV maintains partnerships with many other organizations and helps facilitate activities specifically designed for the person with disabilities.  Over the years, many have enjoyed trips and experiences sponsored by CRV.  Currently, the Community Resource Volunteers is actively involved in three main areas for people with disabilities.  The following is a summary of these efforts.

Annual July 4th Higgins Lake Trip

The annual July 4th trip to Higgins Lake has quickly become one of the most popular activities for campers and volunteers alike.  Everyone enjoys a full weekend of fun and activities. Many campers have been coming since the beginning and look forward to each year for more fun and to renew the friendships from past years.

Michigan Ski for Light

The Ski for Light program has been around since CRV began and has been a part of the CRV programming.  Michigan Ski for Light was created to promote the physical fitness of visually and mobility impaired adults. Further information can be found on their website (www.MSFL.org).

Partnership With Peckham Industries

Peckham Vocational Industries is dedicated to assisting people with disabilities and has been a partner with CRV for many years.  Peckham is the primary supporter of the annual trips to Higgins lake and continues to work with CRV to maintain current services and develop new ones.  More information can be seen on their website (www.Peckham.org)
